The HSD BIB supports research, teaching and studies with an extensive range of training and E-Learning-offers.

The current range of courses is listed below.

There you will find face-to-face events, online courses and self-study units on the topics of systematic literature research, literature management with Citavi or Zotero, avoiding plagiarism and on the topics of research data and good scientific practice.

There is no deadline for registration for our self-study units on Moodle. By clicking on the “Registration” button, you can access the course directly as a member of the HSD and start independently at any time and from any location. We also offer regular face-to-face events on all aspects of academic work - either as part of a seminar or as free training in our training room.

NRW-wide Training Sessions on Research Data Management (OVERVIEW) Please note: Would you like to get an overview of how to handle research data? Does a funding agency’s call for proposals require you to submit a data management plan? Are you considering publishing your research data, and is the transfer of research data becoming increasingly important in your field? Are you interested in Python, R Notebooks, or GitLab to make your data management more effective? From May through September, events offered throughout North Rhine-Westphalia by universities of applied sciences and research universities — online, free of charge, and practice-oriented — will address these and other topics. All events are open to external participants, so you can take advantage of the entire program. The joint program offered by UAS in North Rhine-Westphalia for the winter semester 2026/27 is currently still in the planning stages. More information will be available here shortly and on the official website of the North Rhine-Westphalia-wide training program.
